The advantages of the Fruit Juice Industry in Fruit and Vegetable Diversity in Turkey

Turkey is seen in three different climate types. The production can be made of various fruits and vegetables with agriculture in Turkey due to favorable climate. Fresh fruit and vegetable production in our country is over 50 million tons per year.

When the diversity of raw materials, fertile soils meet good agricultural practices, in addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, fruit juices, fruit juice concentrated, fruit purees are also an important part of exports. Fruit variety contributes to the development of the fruit juice industry. Today, Turkish manufacturers are the largest suppliers of Europe and the USA.

The fruit juice and fruit juice concentrated industry processes fruit and small amounts of vegetables as the main raw material input. Turkey has a fairly diverse range with products grown in the fertile soil. Fruit juice, fruit nectar and fruit drinks are the outputs of this industry.

Juices are categorized in a variety of ways. The most important feature based on these classifications; is the clarity of the fruit juice. It is 25-50% in fruit nectars and at least 10% in fruit drinks while the fruit rate in fruit juices is generally 100%.

Today, fruit juices are mostly prepared from fruit juice concentrates, fruit nectars from fruit pulp, fruit drinks from fruit juice or puree.

Fruit juice concentrated is stored in aseptic bags or aseptic tanks, thus preventing microbiological deterioration that may occur.
